Motion tweens |
Open the Bob file:
We need to change the order of the layer so the grass is below. Select the grass layer and drag it down so it is below the bob layer.
Lock the grass layer so that it cannot be selected. To lock the layer, click the circle under the padlock icon
We will create a motion tween on frame 1 of the bob layer. Motion tweens are the most common way to animate in Flash.
Notice the frames on the bob layer turn blue and a dotted line apperas.
Motion tweens require a single symbol on the layer. If anything besides a single symbol is on the layer when a motion tween is applied, Flash makes a new symbol named Tween followed by a number. Make sure no Tween is created in library. If there is, let Mr. Tevis know.
Right click on frame 30 of the bob layer and insert a keyframe at 30
A dotted line shows that the motion tween is not working. A motion tween requires two keyfremes and the same symbol on both keyframes. The solid line shows a working motion tween.
Use free transform to scale bob smaller. To avoid distorting Bob while scaling,

| Save your work. | ||
Keyframe at 40 Scale bob until only head fits

Save, hit enter, control-test movie

| The animation should look like the example below. Be sure to save your work, then go on to the Shape Tween tutorial | ||
